Dilana rugs have just produced another run of Limited edition rugs of a design by Avis Higgs. Avis did a series of designs based on New Zealand flora, in her portfolio are two designs titled Kowhai - D19 and D22 (this vibrant design in grey and yellow).

The College of Creative Arts, Massey University Wellington is launching a new fund for creatives with an online auction, in partnership with the Massey Foundation.
Leading NZ artists and alumni including Sir Richard Taylor, Kate Sylvester, John Drawbridge, Judy Darragh, Avis Higgs, Guy Ngan and many more have donated 27 works to help launch the Residencies Fund.
The new fund will support artists to develop their practices, teach and collaborate with students and faculty, and share their knowledge, expertise and experiences with the University community and the public through the College’s programme of residencies.
Open to all, the auction features donated original artworks, limited-edition prints, live music and much more. Another 1940's Avis Higgs textile design has been printed once again. The "Circles" print comes from Avis Higgs' time at STP (Silk and Textile Printers) in Sydney, Australia.
100% linen curtains featuring the design in a taupe colourway now hang in one of Avis Higgs' former residences (and was seen during the Wadestown House and Garden Tour recently).
A dress in the original navy fabric is included in a collection of Avis' textiles at MTG Hawkes Bay in Napier.
